The 10 Cello Commandments

Taught by cello virtuoso and educator Amit Peled.

Learn fundamental right-hand technique for bowing. Understand all the common bow strokes — and improve your ability to adjust the tone and color of all the music you make.

Bring your cello to life, and play in a whole new way.

Ever struggled with tension and stilted movements while playing the cello, resulting in less of yourself coming through in your playing? You might wonder if there’s a way to break free.

There is. World-renowned pedagogue Amit Peled reveals it through his “Ten Cello Commandments.” Learn how to align the cello with your full humanity: from breathing and the way your body supports your movement, to walking, talking, and even singing. Follow this “way of life” to unleash your own expressive power and poetic artistry.
