Sara Davis Buechner is a celebrated concert pianist known for her musical command, artistry, and independence. Her technique and interpretive prowess have earned her global acclaim.
In her twenties, Buechner won top prizes at major piano competitions, including Queen Elisabeth, Leeds, Mozart, and the Tchaikovsky Competition. She soon launched her career, performing at famous venues like Carnegie Hall, the Kennedy Center, and the Hollywood Bowl — early successes that would build a strong foundation for her artistic journey.
Over the ensuing years, Buechner would play with leading orchestras such as the New York Philharmonic, San Francisco Symphony, and Philadelphia Orchestra. She has premiered works by contemporary composers like John Corigliano, Michael Brown, and Yukiko Nishimura. Her recordings feature music by Ferruccio Busoni, Gershwin, and others, winning awards such as Germany’s Deutsches Schallplattenpreis.
