Rovshan Mamedkuliev has won more than 25 awards in prestigious guitar competitions, including the GFA, Brouwer, and Tarrega competitions to name a few.

Since 1999, Rovshan Mamedkuliev has won more than 25 awards in national and international guitar competitions, including top prizes in the Brouwer, Villa-Lobos, Tarrega, and Pittaluga competitions. in 2012, Rovshan won one of the most prestigious guitar competitions in the world - the XXX Guitar Foundation of America International Concert Artist Competition.

In addition to his competition career, Rovshan has performed around the world as a soloist and recitalist, making his Carnegie Hall debut in 2012. He has also premiered many new works for the classical guitar and even contributed to the repertoire himself with the creation of his own arrangements.

From a very early age, Rovshan showed an exceptional musical talent. In 2004 he entered the Nizhny Novgorod Conservatoire where he studied with the guitarist Aleksey Petropavlovsky. He completed his studies with honours in 2009 and was invited to teach at the Conservatoire. In 2014 Rovshan Mamedkuliev was appointed a professor of the classical guitar department at the Maimonides State Classical Academy (Moscow).
