Workshops, accessible to all Active and Premium Participants, will be conducted by both our faculty and guest artists. We will offer a balanced array of topics to cover a broad spectrum, including:

- Daily Warm-ups
- Practice Strategies / Practice “Hygiene”
- Injury Prevention & Posture
- Concert Preparation for Performers
- Teaching Concepts for Teachers

The goal is to make your time at the festival as efficient, enjoyable, and successful as possible. To achieve this, every  Premium Participant will receive a 30-45 minute onboarding call with members of the tonebase team. During this call, we will discuss your current goals, needs, and aspirations to create a personalized plan for your time at the festival.

Following the onboarding call, we will create a profile for you. This profile will give each teacher a better understanding before your lessons of what you are working on and how they can best assist you.

Want to run a piece by some of the faculty? Great! Preparing for a competition? Amazing! Struggling with that F-Major part in "Capricho Árabe"? Wonderful! Have general questions or issues regarding posture, scales, arpeggios, speed development, tone production or just generally want to get better or “brush up on your fundamentals before getting into repertoire”?

The onboarding call is one of the main features that sets this event apart from other festivals, allowing us to get to know you beforehand and ensuring your time with the faculty is as impactful for your learning outcome as possible.

You will get to know members of your cohort: The Forum Group will allow participants to introduce themselves and connect. You’ll engage in discussions, share your musical interests, and form friendships with fellow attendees. This pre-event networking will foster a sense of community, enhancing your festival experience.

We will provide teaching materials for workshops, lectures, etc.: We will share essential teaching materials for the upcoming activities, including practice sheets, reading materials, and video tutorials. Access to these resources in advance will help you familiarize yourself with the content and come prepared, maximizing the benefits of each session.

Each morning, we will provide coffee, baked goods, and bagels. Throughout the day, sandwiches and snacks will be available in the Music Academy, with vegetarian and vegan options included.

During the festival, there will be 1-2 premium dining experiences in Düsseldorf for Premium Participants. Before the event, each guest will be consulted regarding any dietary restrictions and preferences to ensure the most pleasant dining experience possible.

Each session will have a kick-off event which will be a great opportunity to get to know your cohort members IRL. Further we will have comminuty concerts giving folks the opportunity to perform → A great way to run your program for a friendly audience, test-drive a new guitar, or simply enjoy performances of fellow participants

While we don’t hold auditions , and generally encourage players of all levels to engage in high level learning, it is fair to say that players who have a few years of experience playing would benefit most from this event. You don’t need to be a concert soloist, but if you just picked up the Guitar a few months ago, most likely it will be difficult for you to benefit.

Again, regardless if you’re devoted music lover, just re-turning or re-discovering your passion and fire for the classical guitar, or are a seasoned professional, music student, or teacher, this is the event for you.

Each Active will get 3, and each Premium participant will get 4 individual lessons guaranteed!

While we will try to accommodate each participants faculty choices, premium participants will receive priority when assigning teachers.

We offer premium participants accommodation in a 4-star hotel close to the festival venue. The cost for premium participation includes stay from October 13th to 19th, with breakfast included. Double bedrooms are available for an additional fee of $49 per night.

By Air:
- Düsseldorf International Airport (DUS): The main airport serving Düsseldorf. It offers numerous international and domestic flights daily. From the airport, you can take a taxi, use public transport, or rent a car to reach the city center. Additionally, we offer shuttle services for premium members on October 13th and October 19th at 10am, 12pm, 2pm, 4pm, and 6pm.

By Train:
- Deutsche Bahn: Düsseldorf Hauptbahnhof (Central Station) is well-connected to major cities in Germany and Europe via Deutsche Bahn. High-speed trains such as ICE, IC, and regional trains make traveling to Düsseldorf convenient and efficient.

By Car:
- From Cologne: Take the A3 or A57 northbound.
- From Frankfurt: Take the A3 northbound.
- From Amsterdam: Take the A57 southbound.
- Düsseldorf is easily accessible via Germany's extensive autobahn network.

By Bus:
- Long-Distance Buses: Companies like FlixBus and Eurolines provide regular service to Düsseldorf from various European cities. The bus terminal is located near the Düsseldorf Hauptbahnhof.

By Public Transport:
- Local Transport: Once you arrive in Düsseldorf, the city's public transport system (Rheinbahn) includes trams, buses, and trains, making it easy to get around. The hotel and the festival location at Liesegangstraße 24 is walkable from the Hauptbahnhof, making it easy to reach on foot.
