Pioneering Israeli cellist Amit Peled has earned international acclaim for his contributions to modern cello artistry and pedagogy. He is equally at home on the stages of Carnegie Hall, the John F. Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts, London's Wigmore Hall, and the Konzerthaus Berlin as he is at the Peabody Institute, where he has held a professorship since 2003.
Aside from being an accomplished recording artist, now represented internationally by CTM Classics, Peled is the founder of two unique, groups that prove his dedication as a teacher: the nationally-touring Amit Peled Cello Gang, comprised of his Peabody Institute students, and the Mount Vernon Virtuosi, a chamber orchestra built to help graduates launch their careers.
