Course Syllabus

Introduction

In this introduction to French lyric diction, you'll learn how to approach the language and discover the distinct meaningful units of sound. With discussions on accents, liaison and silent consonants, you'll develop a framework for singing in the French Language.

Vowels

Join Derrick Goff in this exploration of French vowels. Work through the specific vowels, open vs. closed, glides and even recognizable combinations. Lean how vocalic harmonization can make your French interpretations more authentic.

Nasal Vowels
