Joseph Palmer has been awarded a total of 14 top prizes in international competitions and is recognized as one of the leading guitarists of his generation.
Joseph Palmer has been awarded a total of fourteen top prizes in international competitions, including the 2013 World Guitar Competition in Novi Sad, Serbia, and the Guitare Montreal International Competition. He is currently in collaboration with Austin Classical Guitar as outreach performing artist-in-residence, and is giving interactive performances for nearly 50 public schools in the Austin, Texas area.
Joseph began studying classical guitar at the age of fifteen in his hometown of Rockwall, Texas. His passion for music and dedication to the instrument has quickly gained him recognition as one of the leading guitarists of his generation. In 2013, he joined the faculty of Texas Lutheran University as the guitar instructor.
