Tárrega -
Fantasia Traviata
Taught by renowned guitarist
Andrea De Vitis
Italian virtuoso Andrea De Vitis teaches the exciting Fantasia Traviata, based off motifs from Giuseppe Verdi's opera 'La Traviata' and made famous on classical guitar by Francisco Tarrega.

After performing the piece in its entirety, Andrea begins the lesson by discussing his preference for Tarrega's version while taking one or two sections from the version by Julian Arcas. Since the debate of who should be credited as the original author may never be settled, Andrea chooses to pick and choose the sections from both versions that he feels represent Verdi's original composition most effectively.

The lesson itself is comprised primarily of Andrea walking through each section of the work and sharing, among many things, the fingerings he uses to achieve his desired musical effect. Andrea also touches on several of the specific technical aspects found in the work - including tremolo and harmonics - and describes his approach to developing each.
