On Left Hand Efficiency
Taught by renowned guitarist
Bill Kanengiser
Bill Kanengiser is back with his trusty monochord to demonstrate ways of achieving maximum left hand efficiency.

The lesson begins with a look at left hand pressure and what Kanengiser refers to as the “thunk, buzz, note” exercise. Kanengiser then pulls out his monochord to show how shock waves travel down the string and cause notes that aren’t pressed down sufficiently to buzz. Some of the other topics addressed include where in the fret you should press, how “hugging” the guitar can improve your hand's stamina, and ways the right hand can actually increase the overall efficiency of the left.
