Although composer Issac Albéniz is a staple of the guitar repertoire, he never wrote a single piece for the guitar. However, he was familiar with many guitarists of his generation, such as Francisco Tárrega, Miguel Llobet, and Emilio Pujol. Historical evidence even suggests that upon hearing some of his music arranged and played on the guitar, Albéniz was ecstatic and thought that the instrument brought out the true intentions of his works.
