In this video, Marc-André Hamelin and digs into the Chopin arrangements of Leopold Godowsky. First introduced to Hamelin by his father, Godowsky’s Studies after Chopin Etudes would be immortalized in Hamelin’s own recording of all 53. In this video, Hamelin demonstrates a few of Godowsky’s Chopin Etude arrangements, breaks down his own “Triple Etude” on the three A minor Chopin studies, and plays a game to try and generate new “combination etudes.”
