Hi there, my name’s Andrew, and I was going to put a plug in for tonebase. The interesting thing for me is I’ve just joined it. I’ve been fairly skeptical of online guitar programs, and it was through a music teacher who works with tonebase that suggested I give it a try, then when I joined, my own music teacher said “of course, I’m part of tonebase as well.”
What I really like about it is that it really supplements my practice with my teacher. So I can go back in the evening and watch a tutorial and it helps me focus the practice. There’s a tendency I think to play more than practice, and this helps me focus the practice on particular things I need to work on a piece. So for that, it’s just been absolutely excellent, and why I enjoy using tonebase on a daily basis really.
The one thing — because I’m new to this — one thing I would like to see perhaps is an opportunity for players like myself, would be I guess considered “serious hobbyists,” to also perform on an online forum as a way of building that tonebase community as well.
But once again, it’s a fantastic tool, so clearly done by professional guitarists and professional musicians who really know what they’re doing. And I’m glad to be part of the community. Thank you.
