Hi my name is Evan I'm from New Zealand I'm 71 years old and I started learning classical guitar in middle age so I appreciate I'm never going to become a real expert. I got on to tonebase about probably just under a year ago, I probably haven't used as much as I should, but I am coming back to it every now and again, and I really like it when I do come back to it. I really want to put it as part of my daily or at least weekly routine. On the tonebase based quiz I estimate I'm around level 5 In their assessment, which does seem to be about right. I'd like lessons that have been focused at my level. I can play most of the pieces that have been included in the lessons on my level. So I can sort of play along with the listens as they as they happen, which I find very helpful and it's also fun! The tutors seem to be very good at recognizing problems, and seem to be able to focus very well on the problems that I know I do have, which is really good. As I say I'm trying to get the time based into my routine, it does compete a little bit with the lessons I'm having with a guitar tutor. In terms of practicing for one versus the other, but that actually is also helpful because I can take things I've picked up from tonebase and discussed them directly with my tutor on the same pieces and I find it very useful. Overall I think tonebase a really good thing to do, and my wife has also doing it on the piano and she's have a slightly higher level then me. She enjoys it when she does it, she also has her own tutor. I think the enthusiasm of everyone that's involved with tonebase is excellent and it's infectious, and there's so much potential for learning there that it's really; I think my problem that I haven't avowed myself as much as I would like, and indeed I'm going to try and do for the future Cheers!
