Hello, my name is Victor. I'm 51 years old. I live in Argentina. I started playing violin when I was 13 years old. Right now I teach the violin to young students in two community orchestras here in the region. I first learned about tonebase Violin shortly after it was launched about a year ago. I got immediately hooked up. It has an exceptional roster of instructors, top musicians from all over the world. And it deals with many different aspects of the instrument. The instruction is divided into two main categories which are the fundamental skills of violin playing, which never go out of fashion. That's what I first looked into. I find that even though you may have different courses devoted to, let's say right hand technique, each instructor has some unique perspective on some unique insights on the specific subject. The other section has to do with playing either studies — short pieces, orchestral excerpts, how to approach them. Entering the tonebase Violin website is really like treasure-hunting. Just a lot of material to explore and new things to learn. I play Irish music and that is there too, which is quite nice. And there are many lessons devoted to expressivity, to sound production…importantly, how to effectively study, how to make the most of your practice time. I teach violin, as I said. The site is also an incredible resource to clarify concepts to better transmit my knowledge to my students. So that by itself is really great. So it has been a really wonderful experience. And I hope that tonebase will be with us for many years to come.
