Set the arpeggio pattern, balance the thumb against the upper voices, and shape the three layers and chromatic middle line that the whole prelude is built on.
Bring out the chromatic bass and use open strings to connect positions, replacing rigid fingerings with smooth, singable lines.
Bring the theme back with connected legato, handle the fretted bass and glissando, and voice the chromatic bass into E minor cleanly.
Use guide-finger and thumb awareness to shift without breaks, manage the texture change, and land the deceptive cadence.
Find the lyrical fingering through the closing phrase, guide into 10th position at bar 46, and place the final chords with control.
